With many years of experience in the business, Gretchen was a fountain of information and great advice.  She was extremely knowledgeable about the market, the nuances of buying a home, and the history of each house we saw.  She always was a great listener and paid attention to small details that mattered to us.

However, the most impressive aspect of Gretchen and her work is her willingness to go the extra mile.  We have never seen a real estate agent who expanded the scope of her job description simply because we were new to the area and needed a friend.  She made a point to join us when we met with inspectors, contractors or city representatives in doing our due diligence on houses.  When we worried about a neighbor’s dead tree across the street falling on the house we eventually bought, Gretchen worried too.  She showed the initiative to speak to the owners.

She was also our sounding board and advisor on mundane, every-day needs such as recommendations for dog vets, dentists, doctors, restaurants and even microbreweries to visit!
