For nearly three years, we have been looking for a second home, which will eventually be our primary home, in the Asheville-Hendersonville area. We have special circumstances requiring either wheelchair access in a home or finding a home that could be made accessible. After hearing an ad for Town and Mountain Realty on WNCV public radio one Sunday, I immediately knew we had to engage with this real estate company.

I called on a Monday and greeted warmly. I briefly explained our situation and needs, and the receptionist said she was going to have Annie Blue reach out to me. Annie called promptly later that day, and she listened to my litany of needs and wants, but was not offput and confident she could help us. About 10 days later, my wife and I met Annie at the Town and Mountain Realty office and we reviewed what we needed to be able to purchase a house. A big ask was finding a contractor who would be willing to meet with us at a house, assess the property, and work with us to make the house accessible. Our previous realty failed to ever do that one thing despite repeated entreaties, but Annie stepped up and made it happen.

When we found a property we were excited about, shortly after starting the process, Annie arranged for the contractor to meet me there, and together we inspected the property, came up with a game plan, and talked about what next steps would be. The next day we made an offer on the property which the sellers accepted, and that lead to the buying process.

Annie had already prepped us on the steps and also the services Town and Mountain Realty provided. Buying a house is stressful, and buying this one was, but the systematic process and communication made that stress manageble without overwhelming us. Annie helped connect us with potential lenders and law firms, and we used companies she reccommened, and would also recommend those firms. Annie also coordinated the house inspection and was onsite for the inspection (we could not be there in person), and ensured we understood the results in context and by priority.

The negotiations with the sellers and the closing process ran smoothly. Annie answered the various questions we peppered her with throughout the month from offer to closing, and she was always cheerful and prompt.

Her professionalism and knowledge shined throughout our home purchase, and her genuine warmth and kindness were always front and center.

I would recommend Town and Mountain Realty to prospective homebuyers whether local to the Asheville area or from somewhere else. Working with a company that has roots in the region and knowledge of the area paid huge dividends for us.
