The Asheville Film Festival returns at the Asheville Masonic Temple in downtown Asheville. Now in its second year since its 2025 relaunch, the festival celebrates innovative local and regional filmmakers through a weekend of short films, filmmaker Q&As, workshops, and an awards gala.

Brew Ridge Jam brings legendary jamgrass band Leftover Salmon to French Broad River Brewery for an outdoor concert celebrating their 35+ years of genre-bending Americana, bluegrass, and psychedelic sounds. Create a unique mixed-media artwork with artist Julia Briggs, combining ink, block printing, embroidery, and fabric. Julia, a multilingual, multidisciplinary artist and educator, brings a global perspective shaped by her Brazilian roots and extensive art education in New York. Her teaching encourages creativity, craftsmanship, and finding beauty in everyday life.

BUS STOP BENCH BUILDING EVENT
Strong Towns Asheville and the Asheville Tool Library are teaming up to build and install benches at Asheville’s busiest bus stops. Volunteers will construct and stain the benches before placing them where they’re needed most, helping improve comfort and accessibility for transit riders. Community members can support the effort through donations or by joining a volunteer bench-building workshop.
