The Asheville BuskerFest is a benefit event that supports River Arts District artists and celebrates the city’s vibrant street performance scene. Enjoy performances—both scheduled and spontaneous—across Asheville, including River Arts District venues like The Wedge at Foundation, RAD Brewing Co., and All Souls Pizza, as well as Pritchard Park downtown. There will also be food and drinks, local vendors, and artist booths throughout the River Arts District, creating a lively, community-focused atmosphere.

Starting at 8:00 PM, Flat Bridge brings their take on old-time string band music to the stage. The group—featuring Emma Rast (fiddle), Daniel Ullom (mandolin), and Jamie Shelor (guitar)—draws deeply from North Carolina’s fiddle tradition, shaped by years spent at conventions, kitchen jams, and square dances. Their sound centers on traditional tunes and rich vocal harmonies, honoring the genre's roots while keeping it alive for new audiences.

Asheville-based artist Tamie Beldue uses watercolor, graphite, charcoal, and wax to build richly textured, layered compositions. Haywood Street Respite provides short-term, supportive care for individuals experiencing homelessness who are recovering after hospitalization related to medical issues, mental health challenges, or substance use. The program offers a stable environment where guests can rest, receive three daily meals, and have their basic needs supported as they work toward recovery.
Volunteers play a key role in keeping the space running smoothly. Opportunities include assisting with cleaning and maintenance, preparing meals, providing transportation for errands or appointments, and offering a consistent, supportive presence.
