The National Geographic Channel will feature Asheville in a 30-minute documentary set to air in September 2018! The documentary will explore the magic of the Asheville experience, explaining how the enchantment and relaxation travelers find here in the mountains is “by design." The title of the program is "Asheville By Design."
Here's a sneak peek:
You can watch the program on the National Geographic Channel September 20th at 6:30 p.m. and September 27th at 9:30 a.m. The times are the same for those on the east and west coast. The air time is an hour earlier for those in the Central Time Zone. The documentary will also be available on demand (depending on your cable provider) beginning September 21st.
A crew from National Geographic was in town in May 2018 capturing video for the program.
The documentary will highlight everything from Asheville's stunning mountain vistas to the farm-to-table dining culture, from the booming live music scene to cool breweries, from the creativity of the arts scene to the area’s top attractions. Intermixed is Asheville history and how the magical Asheville experience has become what it is today.
