I’m a proud 5th-generation Asheville native. I attended Asheville City Schools and, in the midst of the pandemic in 2020, graduated early from Asheville High School. After graduation, I worked alongside my mother at her local antique store (Altamont Vintage Collectibles & Antiques), learning all things small business, while attending a local college for my AA in Business Management. I left Altamont to pursue a career in real estate, starting by working as Town and Mountain Realty’s Marketing Coordinator in March of 2022. In March of 2023, I left that position to obtain my North Carolina Real Estate License to work alongside my father, Ben Mansell, as a REALTOR®.
My entire life, I’ve had quite the role model in my father, who has been a REALTOR® in Asheville since 1991. Throughout my childhood, I was exposed to all things real estate through him - as a REALTOR®, landlord, a Board Director of the Preservation Society of Asheville, or just driving around pointing at a home and saying the words, “I sold that house!” I spent a fair majority of my childhood in mortgage broker offices, attending showings, visiting open houses, and spending time at the Town and Mountain office - watching and learning through the years. It was no question that my plan after further education was to join Town and Mountain Realty to pursue my dream career, and remain a part of the Town and Mountain Family!
My family home is right off of Charlotte Street, a historic 1874 home partially designed by Richard Sharp Smith, the former home of Congressman Zebulon Weaver, who was instrumental in bringing the Blue Ridge Parkway and our highly regarded Veteran’s Administration hospital to Asheville. The house is full of history, with unpainted woodwork, oak floors, a “sleeping porch” and eclectic features from all time periods. But - we were always renovating(!) and I developed a love for that as well. In 2020, I started out in my own first home, a 1940’s cottage/cabin alongside a babbling brook led to by a picture-perfect storybook bridge in the unincorporated community of Gerton, in Buncombe County (where my mother grew up). Craving a little more “city”, I relocated to my mid-century cottage in the Oakley community of East Asheville, where I currently reside.
My friends and colleagues describe me as down-to-earth, honest, resourceful, and compassionate. You can always find me doing mechanic work on a vintage car, or sourcing antiques at a flea market or thrift store to restore and resell in my spare time. I also enjoy digital design, computers and technology, artwork, and interior design. I have also been fortunate to adopt and be devoted to my two rescue cats, Cheddar & Church!
Real estate is my true passion. I would be honored to assist you with any of your real estate needs here in my home - beautiful Western North Carolina!
