Lucia has called Asheville home since the early 1990s, earning a degree from UNCA  before beginning work for several years in human services.  Eventually, alongside her husband, she spent nearly 20 years building Ultimate Ice Cream, a local business rooted in community and connection. With two retail locations, wholesale, and events, her family grew up alongside an incredible team and community relationships along the way. With her husband she also owns and operates a commercial open-floor-plan kitchen, leasing space to small businesses producing locally to sell at farmers markets—giving her continued, hands-on experience in the commercial space.

Home has always been about connection. She lives in Weaverville and is currently building their dream home on land in Madison County. Lucia and her husband love hosting gatherings, cooking delicious food, and celebrating life with friends & family while staying deeply connected to the community they’ve been part of for decades.
