Jennifer Mead joins Town and Mountain as an award-winning real estate professional with 17 years of experience. She is currently licensed and conducting business in both Virginia and North Carolina. During her time in the industry, she has navigated some of the most challenging markets, from the downturn of the early 2000s to the extremely competitive market over the last few years, and everything in between.
Jennifer takes pride in her ability to communicate clearly and utilize the knowledge she has gained to assist her clients in producing the best possible outcome in each scenario. She has experience both listing and representing purchasers with bank-owned properties, working with military families on short timelines facing relocation, short sales, first-time home buyers, investors, and clients looking to retire and relocate to their dream location and the list goes on.
Her favorite part of what she does is building relationships with her clients that last a lifetime. Buying or selling a home can be an emotional experience, it’s so important for the person representing you to truly understand what you are going through. She is knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about real estate.
Living in Asheville became a dream for Jennifer when her husband discovered it while finishing a section hike of the Appalachian Trail. After stopping for lunch in this beautiful eclectic city tucked into the Blue Ridge Mountains, he called her and said “I found a place you are going to love.” They returned a few weeks later and began looking for a place to call their own.
Jennifer and her husband are both originally from New Hampshire. She spent her college years living & adventuring in the White Mountains, and she missed it terribly. Asheville checked all the boxes: the endless outdoor activities, seemingly endless hiking & biking, the amazing climate, and breathtaking views around every corner. They purchased a home in 2015 in East Asheville that they used as a successful STR while allowing them to visit and explore every chance they got until they were able to pack up the pups and move down full-time.
In addition to helping others achieve their real estate goals, Jennifer and her husband have purchased and rehabilitated a handful of neglected homes. They always occupy the homes while they breathe life back into them. Their current home is no exception. Some take longer than others, but each one becomes what it was meant to be by the end.
Every home has a story, the lives that inhabit it, the moments that occur within the walls. Sometimes they end up in disrepair and need to be made whole again. Through that process, she has developed a love of design and staging. She takes pride in every project.
