I work in real estate because I am passionate about helping people find their perfect homes. Real estate transactions can be both complicated and stressful, and I’m ready to help you navigate the process with confidence and levity. I lean heavily on my own personal experience building, remodeling, buying, and selling homes in Asheville and other competitive markets including San Francisco. I have a background in carpentry and co-own an Asheville-based interior design studio, so I can see the potential in any vacant lot, historic fixer-upper, or even that ’70s rancher with the carpeted bathroom.
I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in conservation biology and started my career in San Francisco managing habitat restoration projects in the Golden Gate National Parks. True story, I met my wife on the rugged cliffs under the Golden Gate Bridge while we were both managing habitat restoration projects, Oh là là! After the National Parks, I transitioned into private philanthropy and led a number of nationwide initiatives focused on land conservation, environmental education, and youth development.
My wife and I moved back to Asheville in 2018 after living in San Francisco for 15 years. We came back here to raise our kids near their grandparents, and for all the same reasons you live or wish to live in this amazing place: The nature, the climate, the art and music, the family-friendly everything, and maybe also the beer! I am an active member of the Asheville community and volunteer regularly at the Asheville Tool Library, the Jones Park Playground Project, and the Asheville Trails Film Festival. When I am not working or playing, I am in my garden growing award-winning flowers and vegetables or in my woodworking shop making furniture.
