Chelsey is passionate about sustainability, education, and community support, and she seamlessly integrates these values into her work while bringing boundless enthusiasm to her role as a real estate broker.

Chelsey was inspired to become a Realtor because of the increased awareness of the impact houses have on our health and the environment, and she wanted to find a way to make a positive impact on homeowners. She has a NAR’s Green Designation, meaning that she’s educated on what makes a house resource-efficient, high-performance, healthy & comfortable, and low-maintenance with low operating costs.

She serves on the board of directors for Green Built Alliance, a nonprofit whose mission is to educate, inspire, and partner with others to move Buncombe County towards 100% clean energy. Chelsey is also active on LOTSAR’s affordable housing committee and volunteers at a variety of nonprofits. Chelsey is not just a Realtor, she’s a catalyst for positive change in the real estate landscape and within the local community.

More about me:

From growing up in a small town in North Dakota to living in vibrant cities like Minneapolis and Los Angeles, Chelsey was craving a life somewhere more conscious and connected.

Intentionally seeking opportunities for personal growth, she decided to explore work exchange between four countries on a mission to learn new skills and cultural lifestyles. She worked on a range of projects like natural winemaking, permaculture development, regenerative market gardening, forestry maintenance, stone wall masonry, and community building. She discovered that many people overseas live much more sustainably, naturally.

In researching a place that would align with her values, she landed on Asheville. Once she explored what the community had to offer, she knew she found her forever home!

What she loves most about Asheville:

  • The harmonious surrounding nature
  • A strong local agriculture network and multiple farmers' markets
  • A community-oriented city that supports small businesses
  • A hub for a wide variety of impactful organizations
  • The thriving art community and expanding food attractions
  • An influential natural wine & beer scene
  • Meeting so many warm, friendly, like-minded people!
  • The list could go on…
