Railfest and Mountain State Craft Fair, today-Sunday, Great Smoky Mountains Railroad Depot, 226 Everett St., Bryson City. Train excursions, motor car and equipment display, entertainment, food, arts and crafts. Rides $94, $51 age 2-12, $10 infants.

Mountain State Fair, today-Sunday, WNC Ag Center, 1301 Fanning Bridge Road, Fletcher. 9 a.m.-midnight Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m.-11 p.m. Sunday. $7, $3 age 6-12 and seniors; advance discount tickets available at Ingles, WNC Ag Center and WNC Farmers Market.

Sunset Stroll 5:30-8 p.m. Fridays to Sept. 30, downtown Blowing Rock. Free. Participate in lawn games, enjoy outdoor bars and restaurants, meet artists, gallery owners and business people who will be open late. 877-750-4636.
