ITS TIME FOR PLANNING YOUR VACATION IN ASHEVILLE!  With many second homes and vacation rentals, Asheville and the surrounding areas can offer a comfortable and affordable way to bring your family for an adventure here in our mountains!

With summer quickly approaching, let's take a look at some popular summer vacation destinations. Vacations don't have to be a week-long getaway. A weekend adventure is always an option. Of course Florida is always a common destination for any family or group of friends looking to get some sun, but some other places would be a good change of pace.

Instead of going to Florida, the charming town of Savannah, GA is always a great option. It is a very historic area with good southern feel. Savannah is known for its history and culture, but it is also home to great music venues, plazas, churches and monuments.

If entertainment and excitement is an option, Las Vegas is the answer. With dozens of clubs and restaurants along the strip, it is certainly the city that never sleeps. Las Vegas is known for its marvelous shows such as Cirque de Sole, La Rev, The Lion King and many more. Historic sites such as the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon aren't too far from the heart of Las Vegas.

If an outdoor vacation is in the picture, consider Asheville, NC. In the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Asheville has been ranked one of the top ten most beautiful cities in the United States. Asheville is also home to the famous Biltmore Estate, while also offering natural beauty.

A further destination in the United States is Anchorage, Alaska. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, Anchorage is one of the undisturbed natural areas in the world. Anchorage offers views of glaciers, active volcanoes and wildlife, without being too far from the city life.

A final U.S. destination worth visiting is Santa Fe, New Mexico. Santa Fe is different than most U.S. cities in that it is known for its adobe buildings built in the colonial times. The city has a combination of Spanish architecture with native craftsmanship. If an education lesson is in store this summer, Santa Fe is a must-see for all members of the family.

Whether the family is looking to go sunny or historical this summer season, there are opportunities for the pickiest travelers.
