Highland Brewing is releasing its 2011 Cold Mountain Winter Ale, with the first kegs and 1-liter bottles showing up this weekend in stores, restaurants and taprooms. 

 Highland is hosting a Cold Mountain release party at 6 tonight at the brewery, 12 Old Charlotte Highway.

A Monty Python weekend

"Doubt," the powerful story of a Catholic priest accused by a bitter nun of improper behavior with a child, is playing through Nov. 20 at Flat Rock Playhouse's downtown Hendersonville theater, 125 S. Hot country tonight

Country music singer-songwriter Jamey Johnson plays at 8 tonight at Thomas Wolfe Auditorium.

Johnson co-wrote "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk," with Trace Adkins, and penned the George Strait hit "Give It Away."

The Asheville Antiques Fair is back 10 a.m.-6 p.m. today and Saturday and 10-5 p.m. Sunday at the Crowne Plaza Resort More than 30 dealers from the East will be there.
