9/2/2009 - Asheville NC Real Estate - Biltmore House Helping Asheville Housing Market?
by SubPrime Blogger
Asheville NC real estate has seen strength through the housing pullback that is going on in much of the country. Many people attribute this to the Biltmore House being close by and the fact that North Carolina as a whole has remained a very strong housing market. The cities of Raleigh and Charlotte have also seen very small declines in real estate when compared to other major cities throughout the country.
If you have been thinking about moving to Asheville, NC or investing in real estate in this area you are in for a treat. Most Americans do not realize how amazing this small city in North Carolina is. Nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains, this city offers plenty of entertainment but can also provide plenty of outdoors activities. The outdoor activities include mountain biking, hiking, fly fishing, rock climbing and white water rafting just to name a few.
The real estate in this area has remained relatively cheap because of the fact that the city is not well known throughout the country. Some investors have made a ton of money in this area of the last decade because this is the case. Several white water rafting rivers are scattered throughout this area and this is becoming a huge tourist attraction during the recession. It is often a cheap vacation that can take up several hours of your time with exciting outdoor fun.
With outdoors sports gaining in popularity, the city of Asheville, North Carolina is gaining in popularity too. To top things off, the Biltmore House has brought many tourists to the area because it is the biggest single family household still remaining in America. The Biltmore House is quite amazing to see and I would suggest anyone who has not been there to make the trip to Asheville, NC and check it out.
